OVERVIEW

 

The level of competition between banks is getting tougher and tougher, resulting in the treasury management function being felt to be increasingly important for the sustainability of a bank's business. Treasury in banking has a very important role because of its function as a manager of bank liquidity, interest rates, and exchange rates so as to maximize the Bank's income, minimize costs, and control and manage at a safe level. Therefore, Treasury must be managed properly, what risks are associated with it and what regulations governing the existing products and services also need to be known. If the Treasury Bank problem is not managed properly and causes errors, then the effect is a loss even to the point of bank bankruptcy. Treasury personnel are also responsible for complicated and large-scale corporate transactions, they are required to carry out their duties perfectly because mistakes made can also damage the credibility of the bank. Besides, this course will also emphasize the understanding of money market instruments and how money market products are traded. You will learn about Certificate of Deposits, Commercial Paper, Repurchase Agreements, and Federal Funds.
